The art āsceneā in Hong Kong is significant. From large scale events and event spaces such as Art Basel Hong Kong and the development of the West Kowloon Art Park , to the small galleries and Chinese antique shops lining Hollywood Road. Art comes in many flavours. On any given Friday or Saturday night in Lan Kwai Fong, DJs are dolling out custom mixes of ear candy for all to enjoy, for example.
In this weekās blog post I want to share my experience of a different type of artisan flavour. The craft beer craze has been in full swing for many years now. Hong Kong has been the subject of such an invasion. What has emerged has been quite tasty. Little Creature in Kennedy Town, Gwilo, and other local brews have taken the city by storm, in a good way. Moonzen is located in a massive industrial warehouse deep inside Kwun Tong. These guys are brewing some of the best stuff in Hong Kong. There imagination and creative flavours seem to be on the up and up with rice and coffee flavoured examples. I would suggest doing the free-flow weekend tours (about $250) and bring a camera. Itās a chill and open environment with some interesting decor and lots of amazing beers to sample.
Cheers to Moonzen!
