There is a photography museum in Happy Valley named f11. I’ve blogged about this awesome place before here and here. They host exhibits throughout the year of a very high calibre. The museum itself is a beautifully restored art deco style colonial building with photographically inspired details such as a shutter advance door handle and the like. The same group headed by local photography connoisseur Douglas So has opened another facility nearby called f22.
Although not a stand alone building, this facility still boasts camera inspired design elements and world-class exhibits throughout the year. I recently made another visit to check out the Behind the Scenes Series & From Dusk Till Dawn from Sergy Melnitchenko. He was the 2017 Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award recipient. You can check out the work yourself in Hong Kong or follow him through social media.
The light is always right.
